Our Santa Barbara based client, in the Medical Devices Industry, is seeking a top notch Senior Mobile Developer to add to their team. Excellent salary, bonus, benefits and relocation package are all available. This is an excellent client.

Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:

  • Develop high performance apps.
  • Collaborate with UX Team to design and implement user-driven interfaces for ease of use.
  • Mentor junior developers and help enforce coding guidelines/best practices.
  • Help drive consistent development practices - tools & common components.
  • Conduct and lead code reviews.
  • Deliver across the entire app life cycle - concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support.
  • Work directly with developers and product managers to conceptualize, build, test and distribute projects.
  • Work along other developers to create and maintain a robust framework to support the apps.
  • Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the mobile technologies.
  • Explain technologies and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Education and
Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • At least 5
    years experience in mobile application development required.
  • 5
    years experience in Agile development required.
  • 5
    years of software development experience required.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Proven track record of building native apps.
  • Strong iOS, Objective-C, Swift and UI Kit development skills.
  • Strong Object Oriented programming and experience with design patterns.
  • Solid understanding of unit testing, automated testing and debugging skills.
  • Ability to develop modular, reusable components.
  • Ability to coach junior developers.
  • Knowledge of security and identity management solutions such as OAuth, certificates and encryption.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP web services, JSON, XML.
  • Experience working with QA and testing tools for mobile applications.
  • Experience working with source control tools.
  • Experience working with Android a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum development process and continuous integration.
  • Experience with React and JavaScript is a plus.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
