They provide comfort and safety to clients navigating through their treatment day.
Resident Advisors are the supportive bond needed for clients experiencing emotions that erupt a midst an intensive clinical day.
They are the catalysts for client success in achieving the cumulative benefit of all our treatment modalities.
Responsibilities and Duties Manage shift duties to make sure all routine tasks are completed; Facilitate client's daily activities in accordance with their current level of treatment, including wake-up, assistance with meal service, assistance with laundry, etc.
; Observing and monitoring clients' behavior including intervening based on schedule, individual client's treatment plan and facility needs; Perform documentation of observations/milieu interventions in client records (minimum of one entry per shift/group); Transport clients to appointments or meetings; ATA prevention; including one on one peer counseling, and immediate notification whenever a client talks about leaving the program; Write shift report in communication log, including summary of the shift events and shift change; Orient oneself upon starting in a shift by thoroughly reading all communications since previous shift; Attend and participates in all In-service trainings; Ensure physical safety and security by conducting regular facility checks per policy and procedure; Client safety observation rounds, COWS/CIWAS, Vitals; Ensure the facility is aesthetically appropriate, including but not limited to trash removal, dish washing, staging of units, etc.
; Organize and communicate client's individual schedules for the week with all groups individuals and or activities; Coordinate with Resident Counselor to make sure new clients are oriented to facility rules in a timely manner; Assist with admissions of new clients in accordance with HP policy, including notification, greeting, searching, supervising, etc.
; Ensure 1:
1 supervision of at-risk clients (ATA risk, suicidal ideation, etc.
) per directive from supervisor; Follow emergency procedures exactly (including following paging protocol, following directives given exactly, transportations, etc.
); Conduct UA drug screen collection when directed, following appropriate procedures; Other duties as assigned by the COO and/or Program Director.
Qualifications and Skills 2 years of experience in licensed residential treatment or hospital setting CCAPP or CAADE Credentialing 2 years of sobriety if recovering Facility Maintenance Current CPR, Food Handlers Certificate and First Aid and TB Test Strong Boundaries Good Work Ethic and leadership skills.
