Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing.
This multifaceted position involves performing maintenance tasks, driving residents to appointments and activities, and providing exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical skills, interpersonal abilities, and a genuine desire to enhance the quality of life for senior residents.
Responsibilities:
Maintenance Duties:
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of the facility's equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, fire and safety.
Perform repairs, replacements, and installations of various components as needed.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents, staff, and management, and address any issues efficiently.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inventory.
Transportation:
Safely operate a facility-owned vehicle to transport residents to medical appointments, shopping trips, and social activities as scheduled.
Assist residents with boarding, securing mobility devices, and ensuring their comfort and safety during transit.
Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle, including regular inspections and reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor while interacting with residents and their families during transportation.
Qualifications:
Must have a clean driving record.
A High School diploma or equivalent certificate.
Previous experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.
Ability to operate and maintain facility-owned vehicles.
May be required to hold valid First Aid Certification and valid Driver's License.
Strong knowledge of general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair various components.
